Overview
Indus International University (IIU) is a private, not-for-profit university located near the village of Bathu in Haroli Tehsil, Una district of Himachal Pradesh, India. Established in 2010 by the Kartha Education Society through the Indus International University (Establishment & Regulation) Act, 2009, it is recognised under Sections 2(f) and 22 of the UGC Act, 1956, giving it the authority to confer degrees. IIU aims to expand access to quality higher education, especially in rural regions, offering a range of undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes across disciplines such as science, technology, humanities, management, pharmacy and legal studies. The university focuses on holistic development by combining academic rigour with practical learning, research opportunities, and student-centred support to prepare graduates for professional success.
